Time Travel!

Visited the Civil War encampment at Century Village in Burton Ohio this weekend. From the moment I entered the gate I was swept away with scenes from the past. Reenactors of all sorts, soldiers but also civilians, women and children were everywhere. The period correct clothing was a marvel to look at. The attention to detail and period-correctness really underscored the passion these people share for celebrating and reliving our history. The grounds and historic buildings of Century Village formed a perfect backdrop for the proceedings. I lost all track of time as I made my way through the encampment. I met many great people, heard their stories, and captured some incredible images. There’s way more photo processing ahead but I wanted to publish some of the highlights as quickly as possible.
