Summerfest!
Can't believe it's already Summerfest weekend. Time is flying by. The dark clouds on Friday evening formed the perfect photographic backdrop. I wandered about with my camera in the last hour before sunset. Great to absorb the small town atmosphere, see old friends, and capture some of the sights. I really have a thing for food concession stands. Think it has to do with the sparkling lights but they also remind me of play houses in a way. Will post more photos over the weekend as time permits. Stay tuned. If I photographed you, watch for your portrait here!
I love the lights and colors of concession stands as the sun begins to fade away.
Even in BW, the concession stands really pop out in the darkness.
I love the small pools of light that spill off of the concession stands and illuminate the ground around them.
Nearing sunset at the north end of Main Street as a small group enjoys deep fired Oreos.
There was something faintly disturbing with the arrangement of prize stuffed animals at this stand, they way they were hanging with their feet dangling.
I really enjoy events held on Main Street that allow glimpses of the historic storefronts in the background. Great atmosphere.
Great overhead lighting at this stand.
Came across this family enjoying a curbside meal of ribs and Pepsi and they kindly allowed me to take their portrait.

This couple graciously allowed me to take their portrait.
A couple of motorcycle enthusiasts pause for a photo.
Caught up with these two workers on break from a concession stand.
