Antique Muscle!

I absolutely love visiting Century Village in Burton Ohio. Today I had the opportunity to photograph their annual Antique Power Show. All manner of vintage tractors, excavators, trucks, cars, tools…really just about anything with an engine was on display. Unlike dusty museum exhibits, much of this stuff was actually working and moving about the grounds. The sights and sounds are incredible. There’s so much to see that it becomes a sort of sensory overload as the mind can take in only so much. I tried to remain focused and on taks with the camera. The weather could n to have been better with picturesque background skies and the wonderful village-like atmosphere with all of the old buildings. A special treat for me was the appearance of the museum’s 19th century horse-drawn hearse. It’s normally locked up tight in I had only seen hot once before. Today I found it outdoors in bright sunlight and I seized the opportunity for photos.
