BAM!

The annual Hot Rodding with Cops car show was held today in Hiram Ohio. The show benefits the department’s Shop With a Cop program which helps area children in need enjoy the holiday season and also promote community involvement with local police. Chief Brian Gregory was on hand, along with several officers and Garrettsville Mayor Rick Patrick as emcee. Sassy Dog was back with hot food and cold beverages, along with a DJ and door prizes. The day was hot and there was not a drop of rain to hamper the proceedings. Several classic cars and trucks were on display and trophies were awarded at the conclusion of the event. I normally avoid shooting under midday sun, but cars are one exception to the rule. The bright light really makes paint and chrome pop, and blue skies and puff clouds make for a wonderful backdrop. I often shoot from low camera angles to accentuate the sky and background clouds.
