Hot Rodding with Cops!

Today was the annual Hiram Police Department car show held in Hiram Ohio. The event benefits the department’s Shop with a Cop program. This year the event included a craft vendor show along with pet adoption organizations. The turnout was great despite marginal weather. But the rain held off and the classic car owners stayed put. Saw lots of families out for fun and the atmosphere was cheerful and friendly. Great small town America vibes for sure. I wandered about capturing faces in the crowd as well as the cars. Would have preferred bright sun for the car photos, but as usual my hand-help flash really did the trick in lighting up shadows. I mixed things up a bit using the Nikon DSLR for the bulk of the shots, but also the iPhone 7 camera for detail shots. These little cameras are unparalleled for closeup detail work.
